From Ethiopia to Japan – My Coffee Journey

Hi, I’m Frehiwot Berhane, also known as YUME-BUNA.

I was born and raised in Ethiopia, surrounded by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. My parents were true coffee lovers, and I grew up appreciating every bean, every brew, and every story behind a cup.

Now living in Tokyo, I’ve turned that love into a mission — connecting Ethiopian coffee farmers with Japan’s thriving coffee culture. As a solo entrepreneur, I personally manage every step — from sourcing in Ethiopia to delivery across Japan.

YUME-BUNA is a passionate individual with a deep-rooted connection to Ethiopia and its coffee culture. YUME-BUNA, acts as an independent importer/exporter, personally sourcing premium single-origin coffee beans directly from Ethiopian farms. This hands-on approach ensures that only the highest quality beans make their way to YUME-BUNA's customers in Japan.
